I had to dig out a couple old journals for reference purposes tonight, and as usual, I ended up spending a lot of time looking through a few of them. My journal from sophomore/junior year (the second-to-last one in the middle row) really struck me. My journals are mostly writing, with a few things pasted in, but this one is a full-on collage and illustration journal. I took a fashion illustration class at some point during this journal, and being in Savannah was a source of constant excitement for me, but the vast amount of artistic output in that tiny book is still pretty surprising to me. It also took longer to fill than any of my other journals.

Some of this stuff is a little dorky and it's all overly optimistic, but that's very much who I was at the time, and it's important for me to remember that.
